The AJMF is an annual music event in Atlanta that strives to share the Jewish culture. The goal of this project was to create a design that represents both Judaism and Atlanta without being limited to just one or the other. This project included posters, billboards, advertisements and social posts. My color palette was also limited due to advertising and print costs.

My main design was inspired by women on the AJMF website who were wearing traditional Jewish clothing. I created characters of male and female doves (this bird is also found throughout Jewish culture) wearing clothes on their feathers that were reminiscent of the women on AJMF page. The two birds depict a music event with people gathering and enjoying each other's company. The title and dates on the ribbon wrap around the olive tree which symbolizes peace and new life. The name of the musical guests are on the male bird's feathers, this is because male birds usually have more elaborate feathers to attract females. I illustrated both the typography and graphic elements from scratch for a cohesive bond between the two elements. For the background, I designed flowers and Jewish stars that are pink and a light brown color. These two colors show the pattern details but not in an obvious way. Using these two colors, the viewers' eyes are tricked to think the image has more colors displayed. This detail gives this art depth and is pleasing to the eye whether near or far from the piece.
